Our Favorite Wedding Experts: A Bash, Please Q&A

Paige Appel and Kelly Harris of creative event and styling production company Bash, Please are what we would call wedding experts. They've produced, without hesitation, some of the most beautiful, inspiring, and aspirational ceremonies and receptions we've ever laid eyes on. That's why when the opportunity to collaborate on gift box came about, we were excited to create the ultimate wedding insider's bride gift. Read on for an exclusive interview with the powerhouse duo, then head over to the shop to see more.

Simone LeBlanc: What was the inspiration behind the Bash x Simone LeBlanc Bride Box? What makes it a great gifting solution for brides?
Bash, Please:
The inspiration behind the box was pure femininity and romantic grace. We hope any bride who receives the box feels a sense of ethereal indulgence and grounds her intentions during this sweet time in her life.

SL: What are some things you have learned from seven years of working with brides?
BP: Brides like to be considered. They want to feel beautiful, special, and they want this time in their life to be one that is lovely and memorable. Showing a bride the respect of her choices, the admiration of her sophistication, and the personal space she needs to take it all in is important. Gifting her with pieces that will pamper her and bring out her best self will give her the grace she needs to feel good in her skin and move through this phase of life with ease.

SL: What are some gifting trends and themes that you love?
BP:
Well, our favorite trend is a well curated box of goodies from Simone. A package that says “here’s a whole box of notions for you to enjoy” is something everyone loves. It’s more fun than a single note gift. Kind of like when your mom sent you a care package at sleep-away camp with all your favorite things and pulling the pieces out one by one was pure delight.

SL: What’s your favorite thing about working with brides/weddings?
BP: Our favorite thing about weddings is the emotional component of the celebration and feeling connected to our clients lives. The best thing about brides is their evolution from wide-eyed giddyness to elated maturity throughout the planning process. They come in saying “ I don’t know where to start” and leave hugging us saying “ I want to do it again and again”. Our favorite thing about our job is all the places and people we get to experience. It’s really a study of humanity and that’s fascinating and inspiring.

SL: What’s one of your favorite wedding memories?
BP: Oh so many! One favorite memory is when a groom paraded in via high school marching band with all the guests dancing around him. It was about a 20 minute parade of singing, dancing, noise makers, champagne, confetti, you name it. The bride and bridesmaids were serenely waiting for him instead of the other way around. All the guests were surprised to enter and see the ladies and then the cheers quickly turned into joyful tears.

SL: What makes a really memorable wedding gift?
BP: Something that will still be with the couple for years to come. Something that will become an heirloom.
