Now this was one gorgeous day of festive merrymaking! We got together with one of our favorite floral magic-makers, Kristen Caissie of Moon Canyon Flowers, to collaborate on some very special holiday gift wrap and inspire you to take your gift presentation to the next level this season.
There was crisp gingham and classic grosgrain topped with foraged pinecones, HTH linens, copper bells, and gorgeous blooms, crystals, leather, and delicate petals strung on thread to create the most dreamy ribbon of all time. Tip: Layered ribbons add depth and texture, and let you avoid the impossible call of deciding between two favorites.
When it comes to florals, chose hardy options like tulips, hyacinth, roses, or amaryllis. Fasten with floral glue or hot glue, and always wait until the last possible moment to affix them before you're going to present your gift.
Tip: When wrapping with fabrics, make sure the fabric is a bit bigger than the boxes and make sure you have extra for mistakes you might make. Fasten with a loose whipstich or small dots of hot glue.
Tip: Wrap, layer, push things off to the side. Include unexpected elements that will serve as keepsakes in and of themselves. A crystal gift topper? Why not!
